CASE #303: Cancer survivor

This two-time cancer survivor is raising her five grandchildren (Ages 15, 14, 13, 9, 7) with her retired husband. They began raising the children in 2014 when their mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and moved in with them. After her death 2016, they adopted the children who are doing quite well. The grandmother was dealing with her own cancer treatments while caring for her daughter and the children. Despite COVID, several of the children are in the gifted program and all are performing at grade level.  They have also had to deal with several unexpected repairs to their home.
